MAE
Approximate weight: 16.5-18 pounds
Approximate height: 27-29 inches
Teething: This girl has tons of teeth- probably 10+
Walking: Not yet. She does a combination of the military crawl and traditional crawl.
Favorite Play Toys/Things to do: She has such a great attention span. She loves books, puzzles, the activity tables that make sounds and noises and she LOVES to go places! When she sees the baby Bjorn, her carseat or her shoes, she starts squealing because she is definitely ready to go.
Favorite Food: She has been a very easy eater so far. She will pretty much eat whatever we give her. Some of her favorites are cheese, blueberries and pears. She also loves her milk.
Milestones/Highlights: In addition to her first haircut and her first time away from Mac, the biggest highlight is her starting to really pull up on things on her own. Last night she pulled up on the toy basket and was reaching for a toy that she couldn't get to so she decided to dive into the basket. I couldn't believe it! She's been on the move for months now but all of the sudden she seems more active and brave physically. Maybe her body is starting to grow into her head :).
Biggest Change: She's feisty! Mac naturally dominates her (especially physically) but she is quickly learning ways to hold her own---such as biting, hitting, blocking, shoving, etc. We need to work on some of those choices clearly :),
MAC
Approximate weight: 22.5-24 pounds
Approximate height: 29-32 inches
Teething: He has 6+ teeth. He's working on his bottom incisors right now.
Walking: He's so close! Any day, he could do it. Physically, he can walk without a doubt. I guess he's just satisfied with crawling so he just doesn't seem overly interested. He pulls up on everything, walks around the ottoman, will let go to get from the ottoman to a chair, etc. but he has only taken 2 steps one time and nothing since.
Favorite Play Toys: He loves looking out the front window and his new thing is playing hide-n-seek. He loves to crawl away while you chase him, he thinks it's hilarious.
Favorite Food: My sweet boy is quite the challenger when it comes to food. He's somewhat inconsistent other than fruit, cheese, breads, yogurt bites and crackers. I think he's more of a sweet tooth.
Milestones/Highlights: A few firsts...first hair cut, first plane ride, first time away from Mae...
Biggest Change: He has started really communicating with his eyes. I feel like he rolls his eyes at and makes really dramatic faces. He has also discovered his pout face and his fake cry which is so cute, yet so "not cute" at the same time :).
